Munich - Science and technology tourism advice
« on: May 23, 2016, 06:44:35 pm »
Hi,
I am probably visiting Munich in the new couple of weeks. Any mandatory place to visit for an electronics enthusiast? Science, technology, history of technology, beer? ;D
Thanks.

My recommendations:

Deutsches Museum
technology, natural sciences, lightning, aircraft, submarines, stars, physics.
enough to spend several days...

BMW Museum München
shows 125 years of BMW with many original cars, motorbikes and aircrafts

Archäologische Staatssammlung
120.000 years of archaeology

Landesamt für Digitalisierung, Breitband und Vermessung
shows 200 years of measurements (Fraunhofer, Senefelder...)

Should you find yourself in a chronically leaking boat, energy devoted to changing vessels is likely to be more productive than energy devoted to patching leaks.

The Deutches Museum is my favorite museum.  Better than the Smithsonian.  Like all good museums it cannot be absorbed in a day.
