Hi!

This sort of nonsense has historically been mainly U. S. sellers:–

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TAG-101-Low-Frequency-Signal-Generator-10Hz-1MHz-Audio-Signal-Test-Generator-/393328867921?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0

. . .but it suddenly seems to have caught on in Switzerland it seems!

These little Wien Bridge A.F. oscillators aren't that much more on the banana boat, even if you do get import duty thrown in!

(Mind you, I did buy one of those TR210 Chinese Huntron Trackers, about £254 from Aliexpress at the time I bought it, and I don't remember getting landed with duties, etc., on it!)

Opinions?

I've no idea what you're on about. Must be some very internal joke.

I was referring to the postage charges!
Anybody noticed them?

I looked at other items sold by the seller. Most come with free shipping. Have you tried reaching out the seller?

He obviously doesn't want to ship to the UK and it was easier to edit the postage price than change the list of excluded countries. I guess if you -really- want it, you can pay the £500 :-DD

Hi!

Buying a brand new one the same from China is under the £135 threshold for taxes and high import duties, so there's no need to buy from him – it could, as you say, be a ploy to deliberately avoid selling to the UK!

As I said, I didn't have to pay a lot over the purchase price of £254 for the TR210 I bought from AliExpress!

I don't know whether my Friend's v.p.n. is still available, but if it is I'll see what p & p for the same item is from France or Germany!

At £50 shipping it would make it the same price I paid for for a Kikusui 418B - online this month
