I used to use YouTube to listen to blogs and to music. I have noticed recently that when I bring up some of my past audio videos that they now have so many dots in the timeline representing forced advertisement breakaways from content that I lost count over 35. Its only forced me to download the youtube-dl program and just rip a direct copy of videos down to my hard drive and I just stream them internally in the home network now. |

Something I've been wondering for a long time. (I hope YT isn't looking and decides to fix this) I have never EVER seen a youtube inserted ad. I hear about them all the time but don't understand the experience. Is it just me. I will note I do not have a google account so I am never logged in (sorry dave, I can't subscribe). I do use a common firefox ad-blocker but do not think it affects videos. Anyone else have this "problem?" |

That being said, mid stream ads may not always show up, it all depends on YouTube's secret sauce algorithms for serving ads. |

For those who still want the ads to support creators, how about start the video playing on an old smartphone or tablet (without an adblocker) while you watch on another device that does block ads? |
