I bought 3 of these for a project:
http://www.jaycar.com.au/Active-Components/Optoelectronics/LED-Modules/Super-Large-Seven-Segment-Display/p/ZD1850 (http://www.jaycar.com.au/Active-Components/Optoelectronics/LED-Modules/Super-Large-Seven-Segment-Display/p/ZD1850)
As usual, Jaycar handily do not provide the manufacturers part number and now it seems that they have updated their website and removed the datasheets as well. I've identified the display as common-cathode and have sorted out the pin-out, but I'd still like a datasheet so I know what part # to put in the schematic.
The only markings on the display are:
ASD-230CI
CD-23101A\B
However no luck with Google. Anyone out there know what these are; bought the same from Jaycar when the website still provided datasheets?

Yep, the twits have apparently ditched their datasheet page. :--
This guy might have what you are looking for ;) :

Some hunting later and I've identified it as a Kingbright SC23-11EWA:

If Jaycar aren't going to tell you the manufactures part number for the electrical components they stock then they need to provide comprehensive product information themselves. In this case pin-outs and LED characteristics not just the package dimensions and weight ::)

I had luck with Google in under 1 minute..

Well I swear it didn't work for me. Didn't know Jaycar maintained a .uk website - it's still the old format (with datasheets), for now anyway.
In any case the display from Jaycar, whoever the manufacturer is (not revealed), is equivalent to the Kingbright SC23-11EWA.

On jaycar's website, below the picture, click on downloads then you can download the datasheet.

WTF? Either that was very recently (like, in the last < 24 hours) added or the browser and the security settings on the computer I was using were hiding parts from view.

Pretty sure it wasn't there when I looked last night, and a few other things I could've sworn used to have datasheets are still missing them now.
It's sad, the way they've been slowly heading down the DSE road for the last ... I guess 10-15 years. Thankfully for all my one-off / weekend needs Altronics recently opened up a shop about 10 mins away, and don't have too much space dedicated to farting or flying toys.

I've been working for Jaycar for the past 5 years and personally I think the change of the website is quite silly. People knew it and it worked!
This morning I was looking for drivers for one of the 802.11n wireless cards... Yup not on there any more. Got it off the .uk site though.

However, my higher ups assure us that we will not be going down the DSE road..... And for toys... Urgh!

Thanks Gab, confirmed.
I never saw that too last night.

I guess people will get used to anything, and familiarity doesn't breed contempt anywhere near as often as it should. At my very quick first glance it appears to be slightly better than the old one - which, to put it nicely, was shit.
At least a search for something like 'LED Display' now returns a couple of relevant results on the first page, even if they're still scattered randomly amongst VFD & LCD displays, Displayport adaptors, thermometers, metal detectors, weather stations, ...
FWIW I used to be a regular at the old Deshon St Brisbane store pretty much from the day it opened, and got to know the guys there pretty well. I dropped out of the hobby for many years, but bumped into Tony from the old days when I was at Aspley a few months ago - hadn't seen him for maybe 10 years, but he still recognised me. Next time I was in there I had to dodge between a box full of Christmas leftover farting Santas & one of the failed used-car salesmen flying a quadcopter inside while people were waiting to be served...

farting Santas
A farting Jesus would be so much funnier.

Oh gee I love the internet :-DD
