Any of you boys been to "C&H Surplus" in Pasadena?
« on: April 17, 2013, 09:43:11 pm »
I only discovered that store when it was shutting down... the only place I've ever been able to find these Korean War-era pendulum lamp covers I saw once when I was a kid.  (I bought 30 of them... 20 I made into workshop lighting and 10 for spares.)

Since... 2005-06 (I think?) they've been in smaller store in Duarte just a stone's throw from my house.  So I go there every other weekend or so to dig through their piles of exotic test and medical equipment and to get my hands dirty.

I'm curious to know the history of that place.  Aparrently the business has been around since the 1960s but the owner doesn't seem very old.
