I'm wondering how long it will take to me to have this done, most probably I will not be able to do it !

That's pretty impressive. I don't think I could manage that and I HAVE a binocular scope!
Reminds me of seeing some amazing cable lacing in equipment from 40-50 years ago.

As for girl hunting, did that, caught mine, and the limit is 1 here. :)
I'm either at my bench, here, or on PokerStars.

hmmmm
Make a comprehensive list of places that you go ...
... then go someplace else. :)

That's amazing work!

You can just see the kapton (I think) tape peeking out from under the rows of pins in spots, that's a trick to remember. At very least it'll have me thinking of interesting uses.

I don't think it's wasted time though. Soldering skills like that would naturally attract a suitable companion, at least in my case.  8)

I'm off to go practice . . .

all you need is money to buy a microscope on a movable arm, solder paste with needle syringes, dental tools or something of that sort, and a heat gun.  With the right setup soldering like this is not too difficult to achieve at all.

But in general I have to agree with Kiriakos-GR, its a waste of time.  you might as well design a good prototyping board for your design with test points and a modular design and pay to have it printed.

The crosstalk on those wires must be horrendous!

( That sounded a bit funny to me )  :)
I think that this wiring its even better than three layers single PCB.

I think the clue is in the websites title. It's fine going to the trouble of making a PCB if you are certain a circuit is going to work. If you are working on something new it's best to build a prototype. Then debug it and finally invest in a PCB. OK, getting a PCB made is cheap and fast. But what if you wire it up and find you've made a mistake. Then it gets messy and maybe it would never have worked anyway.
I witnessed this many times in my last job as a university technician. Student under considerable time pressure would go straight to PCB and then wondered why nothing ever worked.

You've obviously never worked at a company where they say things like...

"They just fed-exed in these sample parts. I need a prototype working by the sales meeting tomorrow afternoon."

Ya do what ya gotta do.

If you have to prototype something like that, it is probably better to use adaptor PCBs, and break out the pins to 0.1" connectors. When designing a PCB for a prototype, the trick is not to get too "clever" with packing tracks together or fully minimising RFI emissions. It is very tempting to show something approaching a final product, but mistakes do happen, and it is better to have PCB tracks that are visible and that you can hack around a bit.

well there is the local (pub) round the corner full of "loose women" that by now have drunken themselves silly but that's not my scene

Well, what we do here is read through the women's magazines for instructions on where they think they will find us and what they think to expect from us, etc... It's like instructions written out for guys.

Exhibit A:  - A list of things not to do...

Exhibit B: A list of things to notice and compliment

Exhibit c: A list of things to notice happening to you (possibly)

The easiest way to put yourself in the right place is to join an activity group. Here there are several "outdoor" and "adventure" groups with 1000+ members that routinely post what kind of activities they are participating in depending on their interests (climbing, caving, biking etc...)  Although not through the group, I met my fiancee while mountain biking, which we both still enjoy doing together immensely. She actually works at a bike shop, so I get my butt kicked every time we go out, but I love every minute of it.

Next month there is a large Sci Fi convention here, with several after con room parties, of which I am sure would be a great place to if not meet a good friend maybe his / her sister.  I've found that those people related to engineers or geeks often are far more accepting of my eccentricities... In any case, having a girlfriend is great, because then you don't have to invest all of the time you would rather spend on the forum trying to find one.  ;D
