Wow, so it is, I didn't even notice!
And ironically, tomorrow the blog becomes my full time gig - for now...

Thanks to everyone for the support, loyal viewership, and contributions over the last two years, much appreciated!

Dave.

Full time?  Congratulations!  Happy 2 years, amazing.  What's even more is the old videos are not stale, they are reference material for the subjects, for the most part.
Best Wishes,

Happy 2 Years!

Everyone needs to go into the merch area and buy something to help support the blog and Dave's new full time gig!

I am watching your blog since the first one and I have noticed a slight but constant improvement in quality!
This means, I'm not only watching every new blog that comes out but also enjoying the old ones!

GOOD JOB!!!

Did you really say your blog is your fulltime job now?
Does that mean there is a slight shine of hope more blog will come out per week?

KEEP IT UP!!!

In the words of a well known Aussie: Awesome!

Being self employed is bloody scary at times, but the freedom it gives you is addictive. Many happy returns to the blog, and all the best for the future. I look forward to seeing what the future brings. Personally, I hope this frees you to be able to do CAD training videos :D

No, I  dont't think so. As I can tell Dave can find really good jobs on the sector of electronic engineering in no time. I really hope that he won't have to.

Keep up the excellent job Dave!!!

thinking of it. that we mostly still in the era of the ideology that if "no work (employer) then we are screwed". there is a buzz about "working from home", sounds fascinating but most people including me still struggle hard on how. i can see in ebay many sellers are so dedicated that they setup a store and sell hundreds or thousands type of goodies, maybe this is one way. freelancing also can give good money in good economic environment. there is another saying "work more, income more" not the "fix salary" from the very tight ass'ed dickhead bosses, no matter how hard we work.

Thanks everyone.
With any luck I'll be able to talk all about it on the next AmpHour episide.
(Last minute details about the change still up in the air I'm afraid)

It's great doing what you love can pay the bills.

It's great IF doing what you love can pay the bills.  Selling your soul to pay those bills can sometimes make aspects of what you love less enjoyable.

Being self employed is bloody scary at times, but the freedom it gives you is addictive.

I'd have to agree too. But self employment is not for everyone the demands are relentless. I refuse to work for stupid people so self employment remains the better option. Engineering management is paranoia driven, and many brilliant engineer transcend to become mediocre engineering managers (or worse still salesmen and marketers) in a quest for a bigger salary.

Besides that there is nothing stopping me from telling the boss to shove it often. To date I have never dismissed myself or refused to listen to my own suggestions.   ;D

I'm wishing Dave the best in whatever path he pursues!

Beware, you can end up with something potentially worse - stupid clients (plural).

That's easily solved you just refer them on to your stupid competitors. 2 birds one stone.  8)

If you have no shortage of work, yeah, works a treat. Otherwise it's bend over and "Yes Sir"!
