JYE tech DSO-112a ("coral") flaw
« on: September 20, 2020, 05:53:21 am »
Okay so I have one of these pretty cute JYE tech DSO-112a (aka "DSO CORAL") 'scopes, and its alright-ish, but what bugs and baffles is that the BNC is dangling at the end of some coax, and the 'scope end of the adapter is some tiny gold press-fit coaxial connector, which is janky and loose and can swivel around unimpeded... now BNC is of a sprung locking bayonet mating mechanism, so why on earth was this "novelty toy" connector system chosen for a higher end (relative) 'scope when  cheaper models such as DSO-150 (aka "DSO SHELL") use normal BNC?

Colour me baffled. The connection is flaky and noisy... any suggestions?

Ta VERY muchly.
