Yes but you have to actually do this. most people are not interested, they just want to pay for a service and use it, plus it is copyright production so they would need to be sure it won't open up piracy. Just look at lbry. |

Just look at lbry. --- End quote --- Offer an incentive in the form of a little profit (even for those who do not subscribe to the service) or at least a discount off their service and interest will grow a lot - worked for Bitcoin. Steam already uses Bittorrent in the background so there's a way to do it without increasing piracy. I can even see a workable idea of a very limited "free tier" where users get credit for seeding and can redeem that credit for viewing content. |
