Locking spade (faston) connectors
(1/1)
Axk:
It snaps in but then the hook on the receptacle catches the whole on the spade and won't let it out until deformed and not fitting well again.
Does it mean these are one-time connectors?
Ian.M:
Effectively, but not by intention. If the hole in the male part is punched, whether or not it releases may also depend on which way up you insert it as a little bevel on the hole edge will probably permit it to release.
If you need a reliably releasable locking spade connector you need the sort with a spring tongue in the female part carrying the locking pip, that you can press to release.
Benta:
It means they are badly made. The protruding part on the receptacle should be a rounded dimple. not a sharp-edged protrusion.
