Hi
I know Getac for a long while but never bought a Device from them. Everyone who is from Europe and use Public Transport like Trains and Bus often know that transfer between could suck. Change the Platform seconds before the Train arrive or when the Germans flip the Train so it arrive in the opposite side :palm: or when ETCS is broken and the must run on the old slow Track. :palm:
And Windows is Windows. :-+
The only one I know is the Getac: https://eu.getac.com/tablets/t800/specs.html
8GB Ram, 256GB SSD
Optional SnapBack add-on: 2nd expanded battery
The have "just" an "real" Docking connector insted of USB C. Both have advantages and disadvantages.
Headphone out/Mic-in Combo x 1
USB 3.0 x 1 thankfully USB 3.0 its a good start for a HUB.
And the best think "real" GPS + LTE (not like Panasonic rubbish who is GPS OR LTE :palm:)
TPM 2.0 if it get stolen
and I can config an Ethernet or MicroSD Port. Both are good Option. :phew:
Here the down side come... The CPU/ GPU Option. :=\
I want to SDR Stuff to. Sure not with an HackRF who have 10Mhz Bandwith. I am afraid that just a 2Mhz Bandwith could be enough to reach the Limits of the Device.
So does anyone know an different Hardware with the same Options?
I want to strap it onto my Leg or Chest when I travel around. :-+

Another idea might be to get a regular tablet, and then a ruggedized case for it. Just an idea.

Dont work if i you realy wand/ need use them.

I use a cheap Lenovo for doing some data logging. It doesn't have near the features you are looking for. I picked up two of them and one, the touchscreen failed after a few years. Then the supercap leaked in one and destroyed the board. Managed to save the second unit.
Anyway, I was going to say, for what I use them for Windows 10 would be out of the question. I imagine MS would want to push some upgrade at just the right moments. I have a laptop connected to the TV that runs 10. I allow it full access to the internet just to remind me how bad Windows now is.
I bought a couple of really cheap tablets after the one Lenovo died. These use 10. The Lenovo has an OTG which is used to charge the tablet as well as connect any external peripherals. It's not a great setup but managed to sort out a way to have the tablet run from the charger and still allow access to the USB communications. The new dirt cheap tablets won't allow me to do this. So using them for any sort of long term testing is out. Too bad really.

The Panasonic CF-19 series Toughbooks have both GPS a receiver and LTE modem and both can be connected to external antennas via the docking connector. I'm certain the other models do too.

lol? ::)

Can you see the different?

You realise that the CF-19 (and other models) also form a tablet? The LCD swivels around and locks in place over the keyboard. Sure, the form factor is larger compared to traditional tablets.
Panasonic also make Toughpads such as the FZ-G1 which has both GPS and 4G/LTE modem. My point is, don't write off the Panasonic devices just yet without doing your homework.

Seems like the English one differs: https://business.panasonic.com.au/computer-product/sites/default/pssap-files/computer-product/specsheet_uploads/FZ-G1%20MK5%20Brochure%20September%202018_1.pdf
To me it looks as though you can have the standard GPS module in the top expansion area of the unit (option slot 1) and a 4G modem as another integrated option.
The Panasonic product configurator (https://na.panasonic.com/us/support/product-configurator) allows you to select both on the FZ-G1 (I haven't tried with any other models).

:-+ but I dont trust that Company.
I would like to stay with an reputable Company even when the are located in China like Getac.
-
I will search a little more and try to find the most reputable seller.
I cant say for certain, sometimes products from China are junk I admit. I bought a phone 2 years ago, it has a bug(everything it restarts it changes the language to my current country language) but when I ran a passmark benchmark, I was second on their scale.
I think a reputable seller should be enough, even if the company is not so famous.
-
So which one can you recommend?
I dont want buy anything who might have a bug and the dont get fix.
The Tablet must work 100%.
