Looking for more or less up to date ATX motherboard specifications.
(1/1)
MarkS:
I did some rather in depth Google searches, but was only able to find the 2.2 specs. I'm looking for motherboard layout and specifically PCI slot locations. The 2.2 spec uses an AGP slot as the datum for the rest of the slots and then references four ISA slots from the AGP slot, from which three PCI slots are referenced. This is not helpful as all three types have different spacings from each different type, slots of the same type and locations from the edges of the board. To make matters worse, it looks like Intel finally killed the formfactors.org site.
Does anyone have a better version of the specs they could share?
2.2 specs attached.

Does this help?

There are various diagrams with dimensions, including for DTX that specifically references PCIe slots. You can also find the original DTX specification document (presumably from which the diagram was taken) on archive.org:

As I understand it, DTX is a subset of ATX/micro-ATX, with same location mountings, just smaller boards.
ejeffrey:
The socket spacing differ between different types of slots based on the socket pin1 location. The location and spacing of the slot openings is the same for every iteration of ATX back to the original AT specification at 0.800 inch. All of the variables are to get the actual slot openings to line up.
So from the example given in the ATX 2.2 spec, find a valid location for a PCI socket or whatever other type you care about then add or subtract multiples of 0.8 inch to find other legal locations for that type of socket.

How about the attached? ;D
From the PCI Express Card Electromechanical Specification. The current spec documents appear to be on lock-down on the PCI SIG site, but you can find a copy of version 3.0 of the spec here:

Attached diagram is on page 150.
