I wanted some LED lighting for my workbench and came across these in Lidl!,
Must say I'm really impressed, nice colour temperature of light, seem really well made and a nice balanced illumination which seems a wide beam,
they also swivel so you can put the light in different areas, plus a 3 year warranty.
The other useful thing is they have passthrough so you can power a chain of them off one plug, cables included, 10 is the limit on one lead I believe.
Just thought I would share this in case anyone else is looking for something.

Ikea have similar for the same price per meter but I tend to use the silicone covered tape stuck to aluminium strip amd powered by a redundant bench PSU for my needs, dirt cheap and so far very reliable.

I've tried the tapes, but they needed some form of diffuser over them as the light seemed to shine down in spots.
I was looking at the Ikea ones the other week, they were no where near as bright and had less LED's, they also didn't swivel.
I should have taken a picture of the lumens etc off the box, I'll see if I can find that info and post it here.
*EDIT*
I'm going to have to look in the bin now for the box, I looked on the unit and they are 10w, the user manual doesn't state the lumen etc
but it definitely said it on the box.

There were two sorts: 650 lumens and 750 lumens. Not sure what the difference is apart from the brightness - possibly the diffuser (colour temperature is ~4K for both). As you say, decent bench lights at a good price.

I noticed there were 2 boxes, one with a green stripe and one with a red stripe, the picture was tiny on there so couldn't work out the difference.
But looking at the actual light the one with green stripe is aluminium and the red stripe is white.
I went for the aluminium one, went to check my box and the bins had gone out today so no luck there on checking the lumens on the model I got. Thanks for the info though.
I might get some more if Lidl have any left.

I got the white one because it was 750 lumen, so I guess you got the dim one :)

I've not noticed the spot effect because I tend to mount them so they shine up and reflect down so I suppose that's diffusing the light well enough, I'll definitely try nd find them in my local Lidl because the swivelling bit sounds useful.

Thanks TheBay,
Just bought one to try out and they are pretty good. I've got the 750 lumens one. I like the way you can chain the power up and it comes with the lead to do that.
I'm going to get a few more.

Went back to Lidl and trying to get some more today. All gone. They had 8 yesterday. Someone else must be reading this forum.
Had a look at the Reduced section and found one. The mains cable was missing but it is ok as my first one had a cable for daisy chaining. Got it for £6.99 instead :) :)
