Hi,

today, two BigClive Videos where shown to me on the Youtube homepage, that i do not think that i have seen before, both being somewhat oder videos.
But very oddly, both do not have any sound. And yes, i am sure that i have not muted the Player, nor the browser tab.
Other Videos work fine, regardless of age, just those two BigClive videos have shown this behaviour so far.
So either my newely installed Windows 10 box has some very wierd problem, or Youtube borked something...

These are the two videos:

Do these have sound for you?
Given BigClive's general content, i cannot imagine that he was muted due to copyright...

EDIT: I was not aware the the embedding was automatic here... The embedded videos also do not play sound for me.

I think he mentioned something about the audio format he uses decodes to the center channel, so there is no sound if your audio setup is configured to use a center speaker if there isn't one installed.

Wow, indeed something going on with my local sound settings. Wierd.
I use Headphones, have always used Headphones. Those are also Configured as Headphones in Windows 10. I have not yet installed the Realtek Sound Manager software that would allow me to fiddle around with the channels, because i thought i did not need that anymore.

Anyway, just fiddling around, i enabled "Spatial Sound (Windows Sonic for Headphones)" with the video running in the background, and suddendly: Sound!  :D
Thank you, i would *never* have expected that to matter.

EDIT: To complete my confusion: I turned that Spatial Sound thing off again, because other stuff sounded wierd with it on. And now the audio for those two videos still plays  :-//

What I find strange is why does it seem like only Big Clive is affected.

He records mostly on smartphones, so I bet other channels with mobile recordings could be affected as well (possibly could be the model of phone too).
