Looking to isolate a pin in a header

Hi,I am doing a mod on an NES Kiosk and I am needing to isolate a couple of pins from the connectors.
There is 16 72-pin connectors and I would love to find a way to isolate a couple of pins without having to desolder every one of them. I cannot cut the pins as I cannot gain access to underneath the connector, I also cannot just de-solder 1 pin and slide it out the connector as they are pushed in from the bottom. Also the traces are top side and I really want to avoid cutting them.The holes do have some space around them but not enough for heat shrink tubing.
Does anyone have any tips?

Custom extender PCB, with jumpers to cut/make connections.

What do the connectors look like at the other side? If they are card edge slots, then you can use polyimide (kapton) tape to isolate one of more fingers.
There are small lies, big lies and then there is what is on the screen of your oscilloscope.

I have some small bits of thin walled heat resistant translucent sleeving that is slim enough to fit between connector pins and 1mm holes. No idea where I got them, but it must be available somewhere.

Something like this: https://paramounttube.com/kapton-tube-polyimide-tubing/. First hit from Google looking for 'kapton sleeving'. 'Polyimide Tubing' likely results in even more hits.

Along with this suggestion, there are tools called "Hollow Needles." They are tubes that fit over the pin and into the pad hole. Reflow the solder, while it is still molten, insert the pin to break the solder joint. Test for continuity and add the heat shrink over the pin.
