From my own experience scientology is an extraordinarily stinking pile of crap you don't want to stir unless you have to. |
| floobydust:
Rossmann is forgetting the E-meter ".. in the hands of a trained operator, the meter can indicate whether a person has been relieved from the spiritual impediment of past experiences." It's a skin resistance galvanometer but it's use is in a "clearing session" where a person confesses all their transgressions. The session is recorded and guess who now has some blackmail leverage? This locks a person into Scientology for life unless you are pretty boring. So a DCMA clause to protect pseudoscience devices, Xenu the alien? Prepare your butthole the aliens are coming to visit... |
| Kim Christensen:
I wonder if Isaac Asimov ever paid L. Ron Hubbard his dollar? Scientology sounds like a SciFi story that's come to life. It's not surprising: If you've ever discussed warp drive with a Trekkie, it is easy to see how a religion such as Scientology could be created by a SciFi author. |
