LTSpice window location and size on startup, and other issues
« on: December 04, 2025, 02:53:27 pm »
For ages every time I open LTSpice, the window is roughly center screen, and way too small, and I always have to move it and resize it. So it never saves those settings on exit. But I'm sure it used to do different things over the years.

I haven't changed or reinstalled it , that I can remember, for months, but it's upto date. Why does it keep doing this ? I have LTS installed on D:, so not c:\program.... or in users\appdata... or anywhere funny like that. Maybe that's the problem now ??

I also have the some Bordodynov libraries included. Did someone say before, that you can install 2 copies of LTSpice, so that 1 only uses default parts, and another LTS instance that would use extra lib's ??

Also since installing the Bordodynov lib's , that update's the npn, pnp lists, every time I place a npn or pnp, and click 'pick new transistor', the list always starts in the middle, on some Russian BJT's I never use, KT904A and kt361g . I really wish it would start with the list in alphabetical order at least. And why not on the BJT's I use the most, BC547B/557B

In general, I find the parts lists pretty lackluster, with inconsistent variable names, and order, like the Beta forward location in the list, or VAF vs Vaf for Early voltage. It makes finding and choosing parts harder. The whole thing should be in a table, with columns for each variable, and can you even change the font size ??  How about a short list of the most frequently used transistor and diode parts, that would be really nice. :palm:
