LTT Tours Micron R&D fab house. (Big $ toys)
« on: December 11, 2022, 11:49:00 pm »
Enjoy a look at the latest EUV fab and testing toys...)

Also, notice how a super polished flattened silicon IC wafer curls like a poster.  IE: a single layer in a multi-layered 3D stacked chips.

I can’t help thinking that someone more knowledgable about the physics, processes  and the terminology used in these fabs, would be a better host for a tour. He’s a PC part plugger.

Please ignore my ignorant unkind comment. This video is amazing. Well done Linus.

This is marketing for Micron.  They would never waste their time with any electronics physicists web channel.  Trust me, Micron knows what they are doing.

Nice to have it dumbed down for us simpletons. Not everyone wants to watch a documentary...

Actually pretty cool to see inside their space. Would have liked to have seen more in how they package the does though.

I was talking complete garbage. I take back what I said; this video is amazing.

That AOI is cool (17:00).

Yeah, I mean for normal single layer chips I think its fairly standard, but these stacked thin chips.. must be complex procedure. Maybe some sort of heat press.

:scared: @8:50, I just cant believe that a silicon wafer of ICs becomes that flexible after being shaved flat.  It's like a roll of film.

Explanation begins at 8:00...
