Magtrometer?
« on: November 03, 2019, 01:28:33 am »
Recently Louis Rossmann and Jessa Jones testified in regards to a bill regarding the "Right to Repair".

A stupid lobbyist talked about a "Magtrometer" in a microwave.

She is probably getting big money for being this dumb!   :-DD   :-//

The day Al Gore was born there were 7,000 polar bears on Earth.
Today, only 26,000 remain.

I think she's been exposed to too many microwaves from a magnetron. :palm: Either that or a microwave was dropped on her head. :-DD

I don't know what a Magtrometer is, but it sounds like an awesome name for a robot villain in a cheesy sci-fi movie.
Believe it or not, pointy haired people do exist!

The only important word in the whole speech was anyway "could explode"! I bet she's been instructed to drop that phrase, no matter what.

Even though microwave ovens are deliberately designed to short the mains out if so much as the door switch fails. She has absolutely no idea and was just literally frantically rambling.

I love the woman in the back biting her fingers trying to stifle a laugh. ;D

I think this was a recording of a past (non-recent) Right To Repair related lobbyist.

I do not envy those senators.  Sitting for hours listening to all sorts of lobbyists that sounding like they need to filibuster.  I don't blame ministers for being so crap now  :P

That's Jessa Jones, she runs an independent Apple repair shop called "IpadRehab". She's a small Internet celebrity in her own field. You might find her videos on microsoldering interesting, she did a couple of them together with the iFixit guys.

I think it was a quite recent hearing in Boston, MA.

Actually the portion above was recorded March 9th, 2017. Yes, Louis and Jessa, just attended and spoke at a right to repair hearing in Boston, MA. But the clip that the OP posted was from 2017. Here's Louis' version of it.
She starts jabbering at around 13:30
