Making a Mess of the Work Bench
(1/1)
jonovid:
my Mess of the week is
accidentally dropping an electrolytic capacitor in to a solder pot
pop! now I got solder from one end of the bench to the other.
Faranight:
Pics, please.
Berni:

VK3DRB:
The Japanese 5S is a great philosophy which I try to practise in my lab and at any lab I have work in.
In some companies 5S means Store, Stack, Stow, Steal and Squander.
In this case, it seems 5S is Solder, Splash, Sizzle, Scorch and Scold. :D
jonovid:
it was only a 10uF and most of the solder spatter did not stick to the PC monitor or the oscilloscope.
what looks like a 10uF electrolytic is now non existent, but it did make w loud bang. - glasses saved my eyes.
I am usually more careful with the solder pot when dipping & picking Old pcb's for parts.
