Matt, I have your package!
« on: December 11, 2021, 10:51:18 am »
Dear Matt G. from Maudsland, Australia,
I have your Mouser package, here, in the French Alps. The person at Mouser mistook our packages when they stuck the FedEx label. Was it because our first names start with "Matt"?
Any way, Matt, I sent them an e-mail about this delivery mishap.
It would be difficult to make a more distant error without ending in salty water or the vacuum of space. From my research, that's 'only' 3,600 km from the exact antipodal position.
FYI, Mouser, next time send it to Pitt Island to excel in the art of package misspedition.

So Matt, your voltage regulators, capacitors and resistors are safe with me, in the meantime.
How are my stuff doing?
Because "Matth" was already taken.

I've got some personal care items trying to find their way to my house. For the last 4 days I watched the postage tracking run the package across my city to my post office (who couldn't find it when I went there).

Today I get an email from the eBay seller saying that they are now preparing and sending the item and sorry for the delay. (with tracking).

My question is, wtf was the other phantom package?

It might be questionable discernment to post someone’s private info like that. Clever people could trivially find out who and where this person is without breaking a sweat.
