Arrgh! This is what it looks like when you don't clean off dust first, and deliberately force the needle to skip tracks, scoring cut lines between tracks over and over again.

Could someone who doesn't hate vinyl records redo this please?

I've never figured out why people who enjoy vinyl records get so defensive about other people's stuff.

Nobody who uses compact cassettes, CDs, 8-track cartridges, or the like that I know of gets upset at people for abusing their own things.

There are far more valuable phonograms than the other media types you listed, and correctly playing phonograms always requires more work and care than the other types.
The high-speed footage is marred by a very strange aluminum-foil setup which may be responsible for much of the dust. I actually find it very helpful to be able to see the damage caused by skipping the needle as a way of showing why you shouldn't allow that to happen.

After looking again, yes, skipping the needle, you can see the actual physical damage to the vinyl.  I can understand the lighting difficulty while trying to maintain the temperature of everything.  Looking at the difficulties involved in high speed filming this actual playback, I can forgive the dust, not to mention that that dust would be pretty much invisible at normal viewing size.

At the second set of skipping, played back at 1/4 speed, you can clearly see the needle carve out 2 thin shaving streaks of vinyl and leave the dent over the middle bump.
