@mikeselectricstuff I want to recognise Mike of “mikeselectricstuff” - many know him. Mike, you’re savant level genius, and yet you’ve always come across as humble and keeping under the radar, never a know it all. Amazing. Thank you for your work. PS: Mike, I’m currently listening to “The Amp Hour” episode 412 - you’re EXTREMELY articulate, fascinating to listen to and you’ve got such a friendly, unique, endearing chuckle. 😁👍👍♥️ |

Yep, he is good! Some people have the ability to convey things in a non-condescending manner, while still getting the message across!! I used to be so amazed about one of my initial apprenticeship instructors many years ago!! I used to watch him, while some other people might berate/abuse some kids for slackening off and acting dumb... Instead, he would approach them saying something to the likes of... "What are you making there 'Johnny'... "Oh, and how does that work?, and what is it going to be part of??"... "Oh, that's really important then, you must be proud of how you are fitting in with us!". The next think I knew/saw, that lad was happily/proudly & effectively doing his work again, and feeling good about himself and his part in the scheme of things!! This is no bullshit story. His name was Alan Hudd, and was a senior instructor in our own workshops, of E.T.S.A. (main elect. authority back then), at around(?) 1975. Such a kind and effective Man!! |
