Mitsubishi software language translation fail

Here are some strange language translation fails that I've seen while using this Mitsubishi software.  Some of them give me a laugh. Others give me a brain lock while I try to determine what that message actually means.

Mitsubishi is a large company. I'd expect that they'd have a group of people that do nothing but translate their software and documentation to various languages.

This is not a cheap consumer product. It's diagnostic and configuration software for an  HVAC (Heating and cooling) system.

I wonder if the english operators manual for their cars is this bad? You'd have a big problem finding the dipstick in your engine compartment if their car operators manual was translated by the same people. They'd probably call it an engine lubrication monitor  rod

Also, the documentation for this system is just as bad as the software. Whenever I read it I get a bad case of PDF file brain lock

Would anyone reading this like to comment on the language traslation quality of their Mitsubishi product software or documentation?

These messages don't seem much worse than some of the Microsoft early error messages...

Patching strings in an EXE is almost a yearly event at my work, the german version for automotive software comes out like 3 months before the english one,

I remember testing European localization of software, the German version was always a challenge because the strings would end up twice as long or more than the English counterparts.

I don't have first-hand experience, but what I've read is that Japanese conglomerates have a culture that doesn't much respect foreigners. That may contribute to a paucity of native English technical writers.
