« on: January 07, 2023, 11:36:06 pm »
First off all, i saw this video (look from 03:40) where i shows the flexible arm with multimeter attached to.
https://youtu.be/XRslhjurKbM

But he do not show how the multimeter actually was attached to the arm. Someone that knows, or have any idea?

The lamp arm is standard and available everywhere..
The mount depends on your multimeter and is custom. Get out your hacksaw! :)

Yes, i know the lamp arm is standard. And yes, also know that i can make something that works. Like zip ties through the silicone sleeve and around the arm mount etc.

I just wonder if someone her maybe had an more elegant solution :)

A 3D-printed adapter that goes where the magnetic hanger strap would be seems to be the most elegant thing I can think of.
A 3.5 digit 4.5 digit 5 digit 5.5 digit 6.5 digit 7.5 digit DMM is good enough for most people.

Just mount through the rubberised multimeter case with bolts or screws; then insert the meter. You might use a Vesa mount arm from a PC monitor. These are industrial looking but robust. Monitor arms also work well supporting LED work lights.

In the video, is the heat gun's hot nozzle casing really strapped direct to the arm? Are any of those flexible arms bonded to earth?

Nice setup. Mounting the DMM to an arm is also a nice idea and keeps it out of the way, I might steal it as I'm setting up a workbench now.

Gorilla makes a nice double sided tape also.
Please keep me updated on how you solve the "problem"  ;D

Thanks :)

But i made my own solution today with some pipes, hot glue and some wood pieces. Not the most pretty solution, but it works fine. I also got more room on my bench. :)

A little differnt solution for my BM786:

Quick question. What is the size of your silicone mat?
Model number is "S180A1" and i ordered it on Aliexpress.
The size is 55 cm. X 35.5 cm.

Good quality mat :)

it costs about 22 dollars plus shipping.
