Found something I made back when I was into Minecraft...

I spent about 12 hours making a PSU in minecraft.

I wish I had that sort of free time now.

12 hours building a virtual thing which can't be used? You could have invested that time making a real one ;)

EDIT:

I'm sorry if that came across as derisory and critical :) - that was not what I wanted. It just seems like wasted time to me, but it's your time, and none of my business what you do with it :)

Take care.

Do you think that it will pass for 80+ Titanium, and join the SF-600P14TE?

I used to be pretty big into Minecraft, even ran a server that made it to #1 on a popular minecraft server list once.  I like it hehe, but I tend to agree with the post above, it's much better to build something in reality then virtual reality, I had a lot more time on my hands when I ran that server :).  Redstone was a lot of fun too from a digital electronics standpoint.

Oh, I definitely agree. But at that point I wasn't capable of designing a power supply. I was also unemployed and had an abundance of free time.

These days I do marginally more productive things. ;)

Nah, I went for a cheap Double Forward design with a DC-DC secondary. I'd say it could do 80PLUS Gold at best. ;) Bronze if you went cheap on the parts...

I don't think that I can pretend that I haven't squandered GIGANTIC chunks of my life on fruitless tasks; I have, multiple times :D

Like laying out the same part of a circuit on a PCB 100 times, each near identically, just rotated 90 degrees and flipped vertically/horizontally
