There are many idiosyncrasies with I2C. If I had a book when I first started learning it would have been really helpful.

Eskerrik asko, (thank you, very much)

Actually I'm from Hondarribia and went to school with Fermin Muguruza from Kortatu (later Negu Gorriak) I was on the bar Hamlet when Kortatu was filming "Sarri Sarri" although I was toward the door so I don't show up in the video, but it was a blast! kind of miss those times and kind of don't because of what was going on at the time in there. I'm one of the few "Amerikanuak" from my home town but I was the only American in there too (other than my brothers) because of my Dad being American (Air Force) stationed there (when the US had radars in the Baztan).

Yeah I'm old (well not so much), I remember when they were filming Papillon on my home town, it was quite a commotion. What I miss most is the Ocean. It's been six years since I went visit last, I should go back at least to visit again. But it's been 30 years in total since I left

Gero arte!

Edit: now that I think about it I might be one of the few American Amerikanuak (means American that emigrated to the Americas) And being O negative like most of the basque people (it's uncommonly high in there), I do give blood, being an universal donor I feel obligated even if now a days might not be that important anymore.

Are you born in Hondarribi? :)   I'm from near Bilbao. Another O negative, all of my family are.

We have too much "jaia" with Negu Gorriak and "Sarri sarri" in the days, bai.
Things have changed a lot... You have to check it out for yourself. :) Bilbao is a little pretty city now. Lots of tourist, too. And 30 years are a lot.

Ikusi arte!

P.S. Your nick isn't much American... :P

v1.6 and proper formatting: http://margo.student.utwente.nl/el/ports/i2c/i2c_faq.zip

I'd also download http://www.nxp.com/documents/user_manual/UM10204.pdf which is NXP's I2C-bus specification and user manual.

Sorry for kidnapping your thread, yeah, born in Hondarribi, actually Donosti because that's where the hospital was. My mom is from Nafarroa, my dad Mexican American, what can I say I've always been a foreigner no matter where I go, but one gets used to it :)

But even if I'm only one quarter Basque, (my maternal grandfather wasn't Basque) I do consider myself Basque first. Crazy times back then. I know that things have changed, last I was there was around 6 years ago, I'm due for another visit.

Anyways, let's resume back to the slow but pretty powerful I2C.
