Solved - Mystery industrial camera connector - help please
« on: January 20, 2019, 08:40:14 pm »
Hi All,

I have an industrial thermal camera that uses a somewhat unusual power connector. It is not the more common LEMO, Fischer or HRS connectors but I have seen it before on a Cleartone CH800 handheld transceiver. The camera model is a Electrophysics 7290A but sadly the manual does not detail the connector model or maker. The plug and socket have no identifying markings or numbers on them, even under the rubber casing sleeve.

I had a look through the usual Hirose catalogues and Farnell, but so far failed to identify it. Does anyone here recognise it and know who makes the connector. It may well be an obsolete item as it likely dates back to the 1980's. Even a comment on other equipment that uses the same make of connector is welcomed as I may be able to  find a reference to the connector maker somewhere.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks. I thought the same but it seemed to be a reverse pin gender in the shell to that which I have seen.

Yansi,

Your comment made me revisit Hirose and I have just found the connector series  :)

You were right, it is a Hirose part, but it is the SR30 series  :-+ Thank you for the prompt to recheck HRS  :-+
