It is hard to tell without knowing what your programmer supports. From a random search, something like MX29F040C might work. MX29F040C supports some additional commands, like reading a device ID, so if the programmer tries to use it, it might fail. You will have to look for even more basic equivalent. |

28C040 should at least allow you to read it, just do not try to identify the device. |

The funyn thing is, i have a second bard with the same layouts but then the chips on them are a WMF512K8 and they seem identical. I attached the spec sheet there too as i would bet they have the same operations just different manufacturers? |

Yes, those devices are roughly identical. Flash is flash, it has been standardized. There are minor differences between the devices, but overall they all are interchangeable on a basic level (provided the same or better speed grade is used). |
