| Need some parts: Digikey / Mouser shipping delays under covid 19 |

I placed an online order with Digi-Key on March 10th, it still has not shipped as of this evening, March 19. I've been calling DK daily all week. Since it has been sitting now for SEVEN business days, they said they would expedite it. We shall see. They do say they have 80 warehouse employees in quarantine. Also, their 800 number was not working today, I got "this mailbox has not been set up yet" and then hugh up on, 3 times. That also sounds pretty serious. Jon |

The ship out time for digi-key (ie from the time of order to pass to UPS) now become 5 days and the delivery time for UPS to HK still around 3 days. |

Friday the 19th their 800 number went to "that voice mail box has not been set up yet" and hung up 3 times, so I used the online chat. They finally shipped it out Friday evening. So, that is SEVEN business days, and at least 4 phone calls. They did report they had 80 warehouse staff in quarantine, that has to really mess things up. Jon |

Just recently for DigiKey sending to the UK there has been maybe a two day extra wait, but that has been rare and was the fault of the courier (UPS), not because it was shipped late. I have had a part that was in stock when I ordered it be out of stock when they went to ship it, but they sent the bulk of the order straight away and then an alternative part with free shipping after asking me if I wanted to backorder (with a SIX month backorder!). Obviously I just selected a different 0603 resistor... |

I got a similar 5 day delay on a recent Digikey order. I got an email reply saying the delays were Covid related . . . |
