New anniversary of man's landing on the Moon

In 1969 I was 22 years old.  I was in my 4th year of college and it was a huge thrill to see Neil Armstrong coming down the stairs.
In those days the TV broadcasts were not as good as they are now but the thrill surpassed any current thrill.  I dare to think that the day man reaches Mars, the emotion will not be greater than the one we felt when Neil Armstrong became the first human being to land on a body different from the Earth.

Actually there is an Apollo connection with your 547.  Tek 500-series scopes were the unsung heroes of the US space program - just about every NASA film from the Apollo era and before shows at least one!
