Probably just a site hoping to sell T-shirts, but there was some kind of announcement a couple of days ago about Australia forming a new official space agency.
Interesting fact I didn't know: Australia was the third nation after the United States and the USSR to build and launch a satellite.

Wasn't the Britiah Prospero satellite launched from Woomera? Strangely they didn't use the Rolls RZ2 engine which would have seemed the obvious choice, instead they used a cluster of 8 small engines.
I suppose Oz was chosen because the propulsiion requirements are less when launching downwards.

We used to go to Woomera quite a bit with Aircraft Reaserch Development Unit (ARDU) in80s/ 90's, weapons trials.
Picked up many strange artefacts including a used rocket engine nozzle...around 300mm or so major dia

Australia is ideal for a landing zone for land based spaceflight.. its mostly flat, little in the way of power lines etc. in the large middle area..
It would be hard to miss! ;)
Plus, don't forget 15,000 thats fifteen thousand, good, globalization-proof jobs!

Drop bears in Woomera......nah not enough big trees. They used to water the gum trees around town....otherwise they die! Maybe they could be 'ROCK BEARS"....or even worse "Sand Bears"!
Woomera golf course...one big sand trap! Best 19th hole ever!
ELDO (European Launch Development Organisation) hotel.....all those abandoned American cars. Too expensive to take home, left to rot in the sun. :palm:.
