so i had a cheap camcorder i got for $25 i love it but wanted a camcorder with optical zoom and auto focus so i listed it on facebook for sale along with and old sony 6mp camera i had.
long story short i sold both and got $190nzd
so along with the money i had i decided to pickup this camcorder http://www.panasonic.com/nz/consumer/cameras-camcorders/camcorders/full-hd-camcorders/hc-v160gn.html (http://www.panasonic.com/nz/consumer/cameras-camcorders/camcorders/full-hd-camcorders/hc-v160gn.html)
there was 2 places selling it one was selling it on sale for 280nzd but was out of stock and another site had it for sale for $220nzd and i called them up and there was only one in stock so i went and got it because he said once its back in stock again it will be back at its original price of 399nzd
i have been using the camera for most of the day yesterday and for the price i paid its amazing
pros
50x optical zoom
takes really good video in low light for the price
very good auto focus and face detection its almost instant
the stabilization is really good on the camera unless you zoom to like 40x zoom or higher it get a bit shaky but nothing incredibly bad
has time laps mode that works really well
auto white balance works really well too
there are other pros but i never really tested them out yet so i can't comment on them
cons but nothing too bad
you have to have the lcd screen open to plug the camcorder in to charge it
and there in no mic input on the camcorder it would have been nice to include one but i would hardly use it anyway
and it films in 1080i unless you use 360p mp4 format or iframe format 540p not really con tho as i don't mind 1080i
what are your thoughts on this camera i think it was an amazing buy
