Well, introductions are due. I have the nagging suspicion that I did this before, but left no traces.
E/E engineer with 30+ years of experience. Specializing in Test, Measurement and Instrumentation, Aerospace and Defence electronics, EMC/EMI, SRMQ, Power Electronics and Electromechanics.
Total engineering person, stopped even trying to seperate my work from my personal life (my what?).
Own lab, own professional library with about 500+ titles (print) and so on..
Having done test and evaluation, field support and shop repair, circuit design, systems engineering and anything in between. Highlights? Can't tell - I want to spare my city of residence! But a power unit on the ISS, SOFIA, subsystems of EF200, A400M, 787, UGVs/remote manipulators and some big green tracked stuff should suffice. Mixed signal, DC to GHz, microvolt to Megawatt.
Currently in deep **** up to my eyebrows while reworking ADS-B stuff once designed by a department which can only be described satirically. The devices they designed remind me of the equestrian/veterinary textbooks where all illnesses/flaws are shown on one horse! Well, way to go. If it was easy, they would have given it to a nice guy. Back into RF electronics right after MW-size DC keeps one awake and learning.
Avid collector of rare and special tools and instruments (if it is from Belzer, iI must have it!!), total adaptor hamster. Unfortunately, those conspirators at the involved companies know this, and they ALWAYS offer new and different connector series when I just think that I might have them covered. Dang.
Hailing from Germany, please forgive my lapse-backs into noun capitalization.
That's it - for now. Greets from the shrew(d) engineer.
