Looks like: - Cellular or GPS module - to track the scooter if its lost or for locating one to rent - Camera module - scan QR code - DC/DC board - convert the main battery voltage of ~48V to 5V - Left and right speakers? The newest model has probably gotten rid of the raspi: https://www.spin.app/rides/spin-6 |

I suppose they used the RPi 4 to get a product out quickly. It's just amusing to me as an embedded systems guy. Probably had people known about this last year then a lot of these scooters would have been raided for parts. |

Around here, the codes are just printed on the scooter, and you scan the code with the phone. There's no way to rent them without the phone, I guess, but I'm not sure how having the camera on the scooter helps... can you buy tickets somewhere? |

Maybe they never used the ability, I can't see what else you'd want the camera for. Unless it records a few seconds of a crash or something. |
