While visiting one of our mountain top repeater sites for a spring checkup, I took a picture of someone's com shelter. This always makes me wonder  :wtf:

Probably there was originally a section cut out to get a large rack inside. You can see there has been a repair of the section, so this was cut out and replaced and the most likely reason was to get something inside or out that was either too big for the door or the existing kit was in the way.

I see the outline of a door at the top of those stairs. Seam on top and threshold. No door handle though. Any other stairs on that shed?

Yes, there is a set of stairs and door on the other side. There will be some logical explanation for sure, but it just looks funny with stairs going into a solid wall.

it may be something seasonal like snow buildup etc which made a door on the other side more useful, or someone stuffed up with power and rack plinth in the wrong place - easier to move door & steps.

but still... who was the PM?
Don't ask a question if you aren't willing to listen to the answer.
