Older test gear found on Ebay UK
« on: August 23, 2018, 07:39:31 am »
I came cross this seller while scouting around Ebay as you do looking for the needle in the haystack!
I think some of his stuff is reasonably priced and some of the other stuff is quite expensive but everything seems to be up for an offer so who knows? I haven't bought anything from him/or her so don't know how much they will bend on price.
Anyways I know some of you like to bring the older stuff back to life or just collect it so thought i'd share. I love seeing the old test equipment brought back to a working state and even better if it is used regularly once fixed up. There is some good stuff mixed in amongst all the helicopter etc stuff I think!

Do post if you get anything decent or whatever.

Cool, i hope you find something! I've checked in a couple of times and he seems to regularly have some decent, if "random" stuff in among all the helicopter and flying stuff.
I hope you get something interesting!  :-+

He seems quite canny, with a realistic idea of how easy things will be to shift.

Components seem to be sold with a 40-50% discount, good test equipment with 10%, older less desirable test equipment with 20-40% discount.
There are lies, damned lies, statistics - and ADC/DAC specs.
Glider pilot's aphorism: "there is no substitute for span". Retort: "There is a substitute: skill+imagination. But you can buy span".

Some of the pricing is way off sensible. He's looked at historical sale prices, added 20% and then will take a 20% offer. No bargains to be had.
