"Orders are sent to fabrication weekly, and have a turn time from the fab of about two weeks."
I sent them two orders for 4 layer boards in the last week (my first 4 layer board designs). One took about 36 hours to get panelized and sent to fabrication. The second one took more like 12 hours. They are certainly sending out boards more quickly than once a week. I've gotten nothing other than great service on the two layer boards. I can't wait to see my first four layer boards.
"We've sent the panel containing your boards to the fabricator. We expect to get them back around September 20th.
In case you're interested, there are 40 other orders on the panel along with yours, adding up to a total of 174 boards. Neat eh?

Thanks for sharing your experience. I just sent my first board I have ever CAD designed to oshpark earlier this week. It was sent to fab the day after I submitted it but haven't seen any updates since. Hope I am lucky and get it early. I cannot wait. Their web-site upload was really nice and caught gerber export mistakes I made.

Next update when it comes from production (about a week later) and then a second one typically same day when they consider it shipped.

Heh, glad you noticed. :) We always try to under promise and over deliver.
Average turn time for a 4 layer order is about 10 calendar days now.

That has 100% been my experience.

Should we expect more boards than the three promised? :)

Not in my experience, you will usually get exactly 3, or 6, or 9, etc. depending on how many sets of 3 you ordered.
I give a big thumbs up to Laen and OSH Park, they have always been super.

Unlikely, I think they only request three panels from the fab.
Note, that very occasionally you'll actually get less then three usable boards. If it's an issue they'll take care of it, but usually for prototypes I typically only ever use one board. The rest go onto the pile of unpopulated purple proto pcbs.
Love the service, been using since back in the dorkbot days.
Certainly a game changer.

Yes, very good service and good quality boards. Happy customer here.
Pricing is competitive for a few small dark boards. Otherwise I check pcbshopper.com.
I wish that they would team up with oshstencils to have a single order and combined shipping.

One other thing with them that is good, at least for U.S. shipping and for me in particular, is that a lot of the time I get the boards 3 days after shipment. And this is using the free shipping. Apparently Portland to Chicago is a direct route, it shows that way on the tracking. And from Chicago to my town which is like 20 miles from the big Chicago sort facility apparently it takes at most one day. This stuff has to be getting put on a plane. It's pretty nice service for 1st Class USPS (despite the rather premium sounding name, this is just the normal service in the U.S. for very light envelopes, nothing special). I had an older (few days) order for some 2-layer boards that were shipped Wednesday around noon and they are here today! :)

Zero issues with OSHPark here as well...although I'm no mass quantity buyer by any stretch.
Last time I ordered, they accidentally sent off my PCBs as a 2oz copper instead of the "usual" 1oz.
Got an email stating the same and said they were going to resend the PCBs to get the correct ones.
Told them not to worry about, don't resend the PCBs as thickness wouldn't matter in this particular case.
They resent it anyway and I ended up getting 6 PCBs (3 thick, 3 thin) for the price of 3.
Over and above...
Case closed.
