One smart crow

This is said to be the first documented sequential tool use by any animal other than a human.

I've known people who couldn't figure that out.

More a testament to human stupidity than bird intelligence though, I reckon.

I saw that program. They had crows that figured out the puzzles faster than children.

Well the researcher is certainly a smart crow programmer, dunno how smart the crow is though.

I can understand your cynicism but crows have been known to do things like this.

Here's another video showing how crows use cars and a pedestrian crossing to crack nuts.


It's probably a New Caledonian crow - a species renowned for using tools.
