Depends where you go, I got right in to one of our favorite places. Service was a tad slower than usual but the dog show was on some of the big screens.
Speaking of, right when they first put out all the cards and gifts, I saw what I knew I had to buy - a stuffed Pug dog in a Cupid outfit, that plays music. Of course that was like the day after New Year so I didn't immediately buy it. Came down to teh wire and - damn, sold out at all the local stores. Amazon Prime to the rescue, found TWO in stock, ordered friday, delivered monday. Safe.
Set it out on her desk after I got up, before she did. She walks in and sees it and starts laughing, goes over to her file cabinet, and pulls out the exact same thing she got for me. Luckily I also had the gold dipped rose I get every year - local jeweler makes these and has a new one every year - instead of regular flowers that die in a couple of days, I've been getting her one of these every year we've been together. Not horribly expensive, but they look awesome and, unless you toss them around like a football, last forever.
Yes, we have a pair of Pugs (real ones, as well as stuffed - actually there are a ton of various size stuffed pugs all around the house). Love the silly little things. Just wish the one wasn't such a bed hog. The physics of Dog do not obey the normal laws and I would love to have seen Fenyman explain this one - how an ~17 pound dog can shove a 300+ pound guy out of bed.
