optical wireless mouse ?
« on: August 08, 2012, 08:45:02 pm »
As I'm learning CAD I have discovered the joys and freedom of 3D mice..... and..... the costs.

Scouring eBay I found this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=380452177518&clk_rvr_id=373191040640&item=380452177518&lgeo=1&vectorid=229508#ht_2051wt_984

decent product or trash ? anyone used one before ?

And couldn't do it.

hm, £90 for a real one or make my own ?: http://www.holtek.com/english/docum/computer/82m28a.htm

can one make a 3D mouse or are they that complicated ? I'm guessing high prices are due to a niche demand.

I don't think the original item I linked to is a 3d mouse, just a novel 2d mouse but they called it 3d because everyone is calling any three dimensional lump of plastic a 3d mouse. You just have to love trying to find stuff on eBay these days and the internet in general
