Ordered wrong part! PLZ help identify...
« on: December 25, 2023, 01:51:58 pm »
I blew up a mosfet on my battery charger and after looking up the part I was fairly confident I had found a suitable replacement...

But after ordering some new ones, come to find out they were not the right package size and I could not find that particular part and a smaller form factor. So now I'm thinking it's the wrong part altogether.

Below is a photo of the mosfet in question. It has the markings "7240 BD1911" & a manufacturer stamp of what looks like a "C" and "mos".

After looking that information up the only thing I could find was a IRF7240. So I ordered the smallest package size they offer and it is almost 2X bigger then original...

If someone could help me out and put me in the right direction and I will greatly appreciate it!

Thank you

You are looking for something like the AON7240 - that one should fit . I can't tell you where to buy it . . .
