Title: Ordering ICs from Chinese manufacturers
Post by: Alex Eisenhut on November 04, 2019, 12:36:59 am
Suppose I want to buy qties of 10 chips from Macro Silicon as a private individual?

http://en.macrosilicon.com/default.asp (http://en.macrosilicon.com/default.asp)

They don't even have datasheets for download, but they say they "provide convenient technical support service for customers".

Hmm, I wonder who they consider "customers"? These chips are used by the barrel for all those dirt-cheap NTSC to HDMI converters out there. I just want to get my sweaty little hands  :-/O on some datasheets and some parts.

I checked LCSC, Banggood, Aliexpress. They don't sell these chips.

Any ideas? I already contacted MS support email but that doesn't bode well.

Buying the devices and harvesting the ICs from them might be easier, although lack of a datasheet may get in your way a little.

OK I'll look there, but that link you gave me takes me to a chinese login page. But point taken.
