Have been playing around a little with my Tektronix 2236 today.
Thought this was kinda cool.
The screenshot below, used my laptop as a way to generate the precise vertical sawtooth required from my Sega Genesis, which is actually 59.92 Hz. The horizontal was achieved actually by simply setting my timebase knob to sweep at the right speed that I needed, and then use the little cal knob to dial it in correctly. This isn't perfect though, it still loose horizontal hold. The vertical over time DOES scroll. The composite video output of the console is connected to the Z input of the scope.
The second link, is just completely from my soundcard. It was a 32-bit 96KHz audio file.
