Lots of Teslas in Seattle
« on: October 15, 2014, 01:42:34 pm »
I'm in Seattle for the week on a business trip and I've seen several.  I think I've only seen one volt though.
The larger the government, the smaller the citizen.

I live in Seattle and Teslas seem to be everywhere around here.  I think it's a combination of well-paid tech workers (Microsoft, Amazon, etc), cheap renewable electricity (hydroelectric), and a prevailing environmentalist mindset in the area.

Nowt do do with the above, they are fashion jewelry, like all high end cars.

Just like the hybrids were before them  and (insert something else) after.

Over here I see one everytime I drive in my car. But then again they get sold with a 50% discount from the list price.

When I took a test drive in Portland the sales person said that Seattle is their densest market, followed by Fremont. Doesn't hurt that they've got two showrooms(Seattle and Bellevue).

I've seen quite a few here in Pittsburgh. Or maybe its the same ones?

I've seen many, many volts, though. There's one with the plate WATTUP. I've seen 2 Leafs.

Also saw a Fisker Karma once in the Strip District.  :-//  They are TINY.

Come to think of it, I've seen lots of odd cars in the Strip District. Stretch limo pickups (?), Bentleys, and the occasional not-yet-accounced car in this weird zebra-looking cover to try and keep you from figuring its shape...

In 2013: About 106k euro but self employed people pay about 25k euro with maximum tax deductions.
