I saw valves being made in a British factory when I was a child. Within a few km of where I was born they not only made a huge number of TVs, but practically every component that went inside them. Now there is nothing left.

but vinyl playback sounds more like real music

It makes me laugh when people, who grew-up with vinyl, learn to enjoy their music mixed with the sound of a microphone being dragged over sandpaper, and then cry-out that it "sounds better".

Nope, Just because you have learned to enjoy inaccurate sound reproduction doesn't make it better than accurate sound reproduction.
