Impossible to watch that without thinking of the overlapping range dials in so much electronic equipment.

The volume control on the BBC website also goes up to 11 in honour of Spinal Tap.

Classic drunken viewing from my youth, which was a long time ago.

Yes, it's possible to go even higher, but then you end up having to turn the knob a whole lot for a usable volume adjustment.

The power out control on my ham radio linear amplifier is labelled 0-11 but nobody around here got the joke. So, version 2 of the front panel changed the label from RF POWER to MEGATHROBS which does get noticed once in a while. The biggest problem was getting the numbers spaced correctly around the dial because most switches and controls are either 0-10 or 0-12, I ended up using a 0-12 dial label, erasing the 12 and then rotating the image by 15 degrees.
