Title: Parts inventory software mentioned by Dave?
Post by: Arkytype on January 18, 2020, 01:08:03 pm
Hello,

Did I dream that Dave (in an EEVBlog YouTube) mentioned a parts inventory software? I think it had the word "bin" in the title. I remember clicking on a link but my memory's a blank after that. I think it was November-December 2019.

I've read a few of the EEVBlog posts re inventory software from, 5-6 years ago but those don't suit my needs.  I've got ten 60 drawer parts cabinets and each labeled drawer might be divided into as many as 3 compartments. Parts type range from semis to standoffs. Just need a way to locate say, a rubber grommet without having to stare down a wall full of cabinets.

All my resistors and fuses are in a dozen Ohmite Little Devil 5 drawer cabinets so finding a 1/2 w 1k5 ohm resistor is easy enough.

Thanks,

Lee
