Should you pat test vintage electronics due to them sometimes having live chassis?

Here in the UK all portable appliances used in workplaces need to be tested for safety. PAT stands for Portable Appliance Test.

I don't know about other countries.

If the equipment isn't safe, then it'll fail the PAT test so shouldn't be used. However, in reality, if you know what you're doing there should be no need to PAT.
