Hello,

because I don't really enjoy reading large blocks of texts (like a book or datasheet) on my regular PC monitor and I also don't want to print everything with my laser printer I thought about getting a tablet for that purpose.

What I would also really like to have is a way to annotate PDFs with a touch sensitive pen. Because datasheets often have fine details in diagrams, resolution of the screen should be good as well.

Any recommendations? What are you using to look at PDFs?

iPad Pro with Apple Pencil. Marking up PDFs is easy -- I do it all the time. (I have the 1st generation iPad Pro 12.9" from 2015. It's still supported and works well!)

I have a Surface Go. It works fine for this kind of thing.

Tablets are great but it is pain in the back to have them on the bench, hard to find a suitable place for them and they will always be in the way when doing stuff, obstructing access, meter leads getting under and over them, cleaning liquids getting spilled on them, being poked with the soldering iron and stuff. Best to have one on an extention arm perhaps.
